Fat Cattle Report

Good morning, this is Campbell Rose taking a look at the livestock markets out of Dubbo for the 2nd week of June, 2024. There was only the cattle sale this week to report on, with no sheep and lamb sale on Monday due to the King’s birthday long weekend.

The total cattle yarded was 2900.

Into the cattle pens, where numbers increased and quality was mixed. There were a few pens of weaners and several big runs of yearling feeders.  Prime trade cattle were in short supply and there were only a limited number of grown steers and heifers.  Heavy cows were in limited supply, but large numbers of store cows for the restockers.
